The 8th National Wushu Demonstration and Display 2009 |

The 8th National Wushu Demonstration and Display was held at Kallang Indoor Stadium on 19 September 2009. Our association was honoured to be invited to participate in this bi-annual event, and put up a 60-members strong group performance of the Chen Shi Taijiquan 36 movements form. The performance was well-received by the spectators, earning loud applause from them. |

Visit by the New Zealand Chen Shi Taijiquan Association |

12 representatives from the New Zealand Chen Shi Taijiquan Association visited Singapore Fort Canning Park in the early morning of 7 May 2009. They met up with more than 60 of our association members there, and everyone participated in a friendly exchange of Taiji forms and weapons through a display of 20 performances. In the evening, the guests were invited to a dinner hosted by our association and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. |

The 7th Hong Kong International Wushu Competition |

In celebration of the 60th anniversary of Modern China building, the Hong Kong SAR government organized the 7th International Wushu Competition on 6-10 March 2009.
In response to an invitation from the organizers, our association sent a team to particiate in the competition. The team comprised team leader Ong Kim Huat, instructor Koh Kim Kok and 11 representatives. Out of this team, 9 athletes participated in a total of 18 competitive events, winning 13 gold and 3 bronze medals. The results were commendable. |

Election of 12th Committee (2009-2010) |

During the Annual General Meeting held on 8 Feb 2009, members for the 12th Committee were elected via voting by attending members. The results were confirmed on 15 Feb 2009.
On 21 March 2009, a commencement ceremony was held at the Chuan Xin Gardens Qing Ji Restaurant, thereby completing the organization of the committee for our association. |
